Very unimpressed after all the hype I read online. My first ride with the ergon saddle was more painful than the factory Kona saddle was. Also this seat is heavy for having ti rails. SM Pro was advertised as 235g, but actual weight is 270g. Sad that it is only 40 grams less than my more comfortable kona saddle that has steel rails.
One of the most comfortable MTB saddles I've ever owned. The microfiber material is super grippy, almost too much. shorts can get hung up once and a while, but I thought it's worth mentioning. Also, I bent the rails on my first one fairly easily from coming down on the front of it due to slipping off only one pedal and I'm a lightweight (160lbs). If durability is a concern for you, maybe the comp version might be stronger. Overall, I would recommend this tho.
I bought this saddle to help with comfort and other issues related to a previous bout of prostate cancer. The center cutout is just what I needed for long rides in the mountains. I love it so much I have put one on my other mountain bike and my winter fat bikes!! Four saddles should tell you I’m a believer!!
While not uncomfortable, the SM Pro does not live up to the ergonomics advertised, not any more comfortable than my stock Specialized saddle that came with the bike. Comfort is just middle of the road, so 3 stars, although I was really hoping for 5 stars. I'd return it but Ergon Bike does not have a very good return policy. My search for a really comfortable saddle continues.
I use the SM PRO saddle on my race bikes, its light and comfortable which are definitely a plus when you are racing ultra-endurance races and can spend days in the saddle at times. Highly recommended! I used this saddle during my Colorado trail race.
