The M/L sized SMC Sport Gel Women's seat is the first seat to provide comfort for an entire ride! No pain whatsoever, even while wearing jeans for a ride! I went through more than a few saddles before finally finding this one that offers a truly pain-free, no-numbness ride. Words do not describe how excited I am.
I recently started up mountain biking on trails again (hadn't ridden since my youth!), and my son, who has really gotten into it, recommended I replace the seat that came with my new bike with a seat from this website. I didn't realize there was so much to measuring for a bike seat! He said I should go through all the steps to choosing the right seat, and I choose that I had pressure everywhere, because I wanted the most comfortable seat! It recommended that I buy a size S/M, but my son recommended a large. I ended up getting the S/M and it's working fine, though I kind of wish I had ordered the large, but you can't return it if you take it out of the packaging, beware. But I have been riding on the small and it's fine. I had to ease into riding again, but it didn't take long for my backside to get used to it. I wouldn't recommend this seat for someone who just wants to cruise around and be less active on the bike. This seat seems to be best suited to active trail riding and on technical trails. I have a feeling my backside would get sore if I were to just ride for miles on paved roads, where you're doing a lot of sitting. But I don't like riding on paved roads (because of cars!), so I stick to the fun trails where you're doing more up and down, standing, lowering the seat, etc.
I’ve put close to 200 trail miles on this saddle after getting a new RIP Niner MTB. Love it. No numbing or any other discomfort. Will be ordering another for my gravel bike.
I got the larger size option for my 29” hardtail about three months ago. It’s my first women specific seat and I’m NEVER going back to anything unisex ever again. No pain. Make sure you get the right size for you. I can maneuver around and back over the seat fine. There’s two little spots on the edges where the covers not quite glued down perfectly but it’s not getting any worse despite frequent use. If it does I’ll just super glue it.
This seat is awful. There is no comfort here. I have been on the search for the fix and this is not it!! I was hopeful
This is unfortunate to read, as this is a very popular saddle. Can you please let us know what the specific issues were? Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
