I recently started up mountain biking on trails again (hadn't ridden since my youth!), and my son, who has really gotten into it, recommended I replace the seat that came with my new bike with a seat from this website. I didn't realize there was so much to measuring for a bike seat! He said I should go through all the steps to choosing the right seat, and I choose that I had pressure everywhere, because I wanted the most comfortable seat! It recommended that I buy a size S/M, but my son recommended a large. I ended up getting the S/M and it's working fine, though I kind of wish I had ordered the large, but you can't return it if you take it out of the packaging, beware. But I have been riding on the small and it's fine. I had to ease into riding again, but it didn't take long for my backside to get used to it. I wouldn't recommend this seat for someone who just wants to cruise around and be less active on the bike. This seat seems to be best suited to active trail riding and on technical trails. I have a feeling my backside would get sore if I were to just ride for miles on paved roads, where you're doing a lot of sitting. But I don't like riding on paved roads (because of cars!), so I stick to the fun trails where you're doing more up and down, standing, lowering the seat, etc.
