Bought this for my 67 year old partner. She has been using the SMC4-L for a few years and liked it but finally wished for more saddle. She likes the larger surface area and the ability to move slightly while pedaling is helpful as well.
I highly recommend this product. Compared to the other saddle I had this is more comfortable for touring.
This is a great saddle for those us who have no interest in 'gearing up' before a ride. I ride a Brompton in a moderate riding position (grips are just about at saddle height and find this almost perfect. I can't decide whether I prefer between this and my brooks C19 -- I prefer the thinner nose on the Brooks, but the built-in suspension on the Ergon is really nice. Either way, one of the most comfortable saddles I've tried.
Great product, no more pain or numbness on or after long rides. Could never really get myself to wear the ultra-specialized gear with padding in the right places.. I bike in jeans and dresses. Now up to 80 miles in a day and I can still keep my closet spandex free. Be patient getting it in that perfect position, don’t be lazy, carry a multi-tool when you take it out for that first ride (really that tool should be there always). Getting another for my other bike. Love love love. One thing I would like to see is COLOURS.
This seat is really the most comfortable seat I have had. After a 30+ mile ride, I still feel great
